Ainsdale beach is at the south end of Southport. The beach
and car park is at the end of Shore Road, just next to Pontins.
Parking is available on the beach all year round but during the
summer the parking area is increased (so reducing the Wind Zone
Area available) and a charge if made. During the winter,
parking on the beach is free.

Ainsdale has an area set aside as a wind zone and all Blokart
sailing must be done there. The wind zone area can be seen
on the
Ainsdale Zone Map. Please ensure that you respect all
other wind zone users and abide by the rules at all times.
In order to use the beach you must have insurance and a permit.
A permit may be obtained by:
1.) Fill in the
indemnity form
2.) Fill in
contact
form
3.) Sign copy of
rules
and regulations
4.) Send all above documents plus proof of insurance to
the address on the indemnity form or arrange a visit to the
Discovery Centre to take documents in and pick up a permit
Generally Sefton Council Rangers request that permits are picked
up in person from the Discovery Centre but in certain
circumstances they may agree to send the permit out by post if a
stamped addressed envelope is included with the application.
Permits are only available at certain times of the day and days
of the week, so if you are going in to sort out your permit,
please call them and make an appointment first!
Insurance is available through membership of the BLSA
