York Land Yacht Club open invitation 10th & 11th October, all classes & types of land yachts are welcome to come along to Elvington Airfield on either the Sat/Sun or both. Meeting aim is to have some good sailing and make friends with fellow sailors within the land yachting community, if you haven't sailed on Elvington Airfield or its been a while since your last visit, then this is your chance to enjoy this huge site, we have 2 miles of runway with service roads alongside as well as the large pan area, being one of the longest runways in the uk & remote from public access making this an excellent sailing site.

Food & refreshments available at Yorkshire Air Museum Mess/canteen from 10.00 until 16.30hrs each day, please ask us for a pass to gain access to the museum on the day to avoid paying the entrance charge.  Link: http://www.yorkshireairmuseum.co.uk/your_visit/naafi.asp 

Sailing fee £10 per day to cover 3rd party insurance and Airfield hire, we also have a number of club yachts available, if you would like to use one of these please get in touch.
